The foundation stone for the new hospital to be built in N. Velidhoo has been laid.
As part of his ongoing trip to the islands of N. Atoll, President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu laid the foundation stone for the Velidhoo Hospital. Health Minister Abdullah Nazim Ibrahim also participated in the ceremony.
The construction work for the Velidhoo Hospital has been assigned to the Road Development Corporation (RDC). In March, the Health Ministry contracted RDC to complete the new hospital building within 540 days for a cost of MVR 108.3 million.
Velidhoo Council President Athif Hussain told "One" tonight that the new hospital building is set to be constructed on a large vacant plot in the center of the island.
