As part of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu's trip to N. Atoll, the Minister of Construction, Housing and Infrastructure, Dr. Abdullah Muttalib, officially launched the work of land reclamation for the industrial zone in Velidhoo.

The land reclamation project for Velidhoo's industrial area is funded by the state budget and is being carried out by the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) under the supervision of the Ministry of Construction.

Under this project, land will be reclaimed from the southwestern part of the island for the purpose of unloading boats and conducting fiberglass work. After the reclamation, plans are in place to protect the beach area.

Today, the foundation stone for the Velidhoo Police Station was also laid. The foundation stone was laid by the Minister of Homeland, Ali Ihsan.
