President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has officially inaugurated the upgraded harbor of N. Magoodhoo.

The Magoodhoo harbor upgrade project is a venture funded by the Maldivian state budget and was contracted to Heavy Force Private Limited by the Ministry of Construction, Housing, and Infrastructure.

The project was awarded to Heavy Force Private Limited for MVR 34 million, with a completion deadline of 365 days.

Under this project, the harbor was deepened, and the work included the construction of a 172-meter quay wall, a 253-meter breakwater, a 364-meter revetment, as well as the harbor pavement, installation of street lights, and harbor lights.

The harbor construction work was completed on January 23 of this year.
