President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has held discussions with local councils and community representatives of N. Kendhikulhudhoo to address key development priorities, particularly improvements in health services. The meeting, held at the Kendhikulhudhoo Council Office, brought together the heads of the Island Council, the Women’s Development Committee, and other local institutions during the President’s two-day visit.

According to the President’s Office, the council expressed satisfaction over the commencement of the RTL bus service on the island, which President Dr Muizzu officially inaugurated earlier in the day. Discussions also covered plans to enhance healthcare facilities, expedite the ongoing water and sanitation project, provide electricity to newly populated areas, and progress the island’s school project.

The President announced that additional staff have recently been recruited for the Kendhikulhudhoo Health Centre, with plans to further expand the workforce and introduce an additional ambulance. He confirmed that funding for the completion of the water supply project has already been allocated and that the school project is nearing completion.

PresidentDr Muizzu assured the community that the Government will continue to address their concerns and accelerate key infrastructure and service improvements.
