The father of Economic Minister Mohamed Saeed has passed away.

Minister Saeed's father was Saeed Abdullah of Vinares, Ha. Thuraakunu.

Expressing his condolences on the passing of Saeed Abdullah, President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu posted on X, stating that Saeed was a respected figure who served in senior positions in the administrative sector of Ha. Thuraakunu for more than 20 years.

The President noted that Saeed was a person of good character and a devout, steadfast personality.

"I extend my sincere condolences to the family of the deceased and pray for patience. May Allah grant His pleasure and forgiveness, and may He keep the late Saeed Abdullah in the supreme blessings and mercy of Paradise. Ameen," the President's condolence post read.
