So far this year, MVR 282 million has been disbursed in student loans.

According to statistics released by the Ministry of Higher Education, last year alone, MVR 700 million was granted in student loans.

The statistics show that from last year to date, a total of 1,151 students have received loans. This includes 543 male students and 608 female students.

The Ministry stated that this year, loans have been granted to 274 students.

The Ministry further reported that from last year to date, 863 students studying under the government's loan scheme have graduated.
