Two men were rescued after their dinghy capsized near Madaveli earlier today, police have confirmed.

Authorities received a report at 8:39 a.m. that a dinghy travelling from outside Madaveli was adrift. Police and Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) search teams were immediately dispatched to the area.

The capsized dinghy was located at around 11:04 a.m. with its two occupants, a 40-year-old man and a 66-year-old man, sitting on top of the vessel. Both men were found in good health.

The MNDF team assisted in bringing the dinghy back to Madaveli.
