President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with the Rt Hon Sir Lindsay Hoyle MP, Speaker of the House of Commons, today at the Speaker’s House in the Palace of Westminster, London.

The meeting highlighted the strong and longstanding partnership between the Maldives and the United Kingdom. Discussions focused on key areas of cooperation, including environmental protection, sustainable tourism, fisheries, and the promotion of democratic governance.

Following the meeting, President Dr Muizzu signed the official Guestbook and was given a guided tour of the historic Palace of Westminster.

The engagement reaffirmed the shared commitment of both nations to strengthen diplomatic relations and expand collaboration in areas of mutual interest.
