Ministry of Islamic Affairs has announced that registration for the 37th National Quran Recitation Competition is now open. Interested participants must register through the government’s OneGov portal before the deadline on Thursday.
This year’s competition is scheduled to commence on 18 September and remains one of the government’s key religious priorities.
The Ministry noted that several enhancements have been introduced to improve the overall quality of the competition. These include increased prize money and strengthened standards for judging and participation, following changes initiated last year.
The National Quran Recitation Competition aims to promote Quranic excellence and encourage wider engagement in the recitation and memorisation of the Holy Quran across the country.
