The 40-year-old man injured in last night's dangerous accident on Boduthakurufaanu Magu has been transferred to the ICU and placed on a ventilator. The 16-year-old who was riding pillion on the motorcycle has been moved to a ward.

An IGMH media official has just confirmed this to "One".

The person transferred to the ICU is reportedly being treated on a ventilator, although this information has not been officially confirmed yet.

The accident occurred near the Maafannu Bus Terminal when a speeding motorcycle hit a person crossing at a zebra crossing and then collided with a nearby pickup truck. Three people were seriously injured in this dangerous accident.

A widely circulated video shows the pedestrian being thrown a considerable distance due to the force of the impact with the motorcycle. The pedestrian then collides violently with the side of the pickup truck before falling onto the road.

The accident injured a 16-year-old, a 17-year-old, and a 40-year-old. The 40-year-old was the pedestrian attempting to cross the road. In an attempt to avoid the speeding motorcycle, he ran towards it.

Shortly after the accident, all three were taken to IGMH for treatment. The police closed the road from the running track area to the Carnival area. When "One" journalists arrived at the scene, the entire area was covered in blood.

The 17-year-old, identified as Yoosuf Alson Mohamed, is the son of famous singer Mohamed Abdulghani (Theyravaa) and singer Mariyam Ashfa.

"One" has confirmed that the 16-year-old is a friend of Alson. When the motorcycle slid under the pickup truck, Alson suffered severe head injuries. A video showing this scene has also been obtained.
