The police have stated that Yoosuf Alson Mohamed, who died in the dangerous accident in Male' last night, was the one driving the motorcycle.

Alson, who died in last night's accident, is the son of famous singer Mohamed Abdulghani (Theyravaa) and singer Mariyam Ashfa.

In a message sent to the media today, the police said that the 17-year-old boy who was driving the motorcycle in the accident has died.

According to information received by "One", this 17-year-old is Alson.

The police said that a 16-year-old was riding as a passenger on the motorcycle, and a 40-year-old person who was crossing the road at the zebra crossing was injured. Both are currently receiving treatment at IGMH (Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital).

The police are continuing to investigate the accident.

Shortly after the accident occurred, all three individuals were taken to IGMH for treatment. The police had closed the road from the running track area to the Carnival area. When "One" journalists arrived at the accident scene last night, the entire area was covered in blood.

In a message sent last night, the police stated that they had received a report of an accident where a motorcycle traveling at high speed near the Maafannu Bus Terminal hit a person crossing at a zebra crossing and then collided with a pickup truck traveling nearby.
