Department of National Registration (DNR) has officially launched an ID card printing service in Fuvahmulah City, following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Fuvahmulah City Council.
With this new service, residents of Fuvahmulah can now access ID cards locally without the need for them to be printed and dispatched from Malé. The DNR stated that the move will significantly streamline access to national ID cards and reduce delays.
This initiative is part of a broader effort to decentralise government services. The DNR has also introduced ID card printing facilities in several other towns and cities across the Maldives.
