President Dr Mohamed Muizzu visited Singapore’s Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) today as part of his ongoing state visit.
He was welcomed by Ms Adele Tan Shiao Ling, URA’s Deputy CEO and Chief Planner, and Ms Sia Tze Ming, Director of Policy and Property at the Housing and Development Board. During the visit, the President and his delegation attended a presentation on Singapore’s long-term urban planning strategy aimed at building a smart, liveable, and resilient city.
The session included a Q&A highlighting Singapore’s inclusive planning approach, emphasis on climate resilience, and commitment to affordable housing. The visit concluded with a tour of the URA’s Singapore City Gallery, which showcases the country’s evolving urban planning efforts.
URA is internationally recognised for its district conservation work and plays a central role in Singapore’s land use planning and development.
