Maldives Immigration has stated that a total of 861 individuals participated in walk-in interviews for the 50 Officer Trainee positions they opened.
A long queue formed yesterday for the 50 Immigration Officer positions. The interviews were conducted at Galolhu School from 9 AM until late afternoon.
Immigration said today that they sincerely thank the youth and general public for the interest and cooperation shown in applying for Immigration jobs. They also said that the first-ever walk-in interviews for 50 Immigration Officer Trainee positions received a notably large response.
"While a total of 861 individuals showed up to participate in the interviews, 758 candidates who met the job requirements participated in the interviews," Immigration said.
Immigration said that the main purpose of conducting interviews in this manner was to expedite the appointment process and carry out the recruitment process transparently and fairly.
They said that more than 50 Immigration officers participated in this process, and a specific queue system was introduced with interview numbers made available online.
