The Aviation Forum, which is held to develop and advance the civil aviation sector of the Maldives, has been scheduled to take place on the 27th of this month at Hulhule' Island Hotel.

Organized by Medium Events, this forum is endorsed by associations such as the Airline Operations Committee (AOC), Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC), Maldives Association of Tourism Industry (MATI), and Maldives Travel Agents and Tour Operators Association (MATATO).

According to a study by the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the Maldives' civil aviation sector is expected to grow by 154 percent over the next 20 years.

The study predicts that by 2038, an additional 4.7 million passengers will depart from the Maldives. This growth is expected to contribute an additional billion US dollars to the Maldives' Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and create 92,000 job opportunities.
