The Criminal Court has detained a man for five days in a case of assaulting a judge.

The Criminal Court yesterday detained Qasim Ibrahimfulhu, 49, of Nedhunge, R. Inguraidhoo.

The detention order states that he is suspected of assaulting a judge, and that he has previously assaulted the same judge.

According to the detention order, sufficient evidence has been presented against him. This includes testimonies from some people.

Therefore, as it appears that there may be a danger to the safety of the community, he has been detained for five days.
