Velana International Airport (VIA) Aviation Security Command has announced vacancies for 74 officers for the position of AVS Trainee.

According to the announcement made by Aviation Security Command today, the monthly salary for Aviation Security Officers and Guards is MVR 5920. A service allowance of MVR 1500 per month and other allowances including a daily food allowance of MVR 60 for each working day will be provided.

Additionally, a special duty allowance of 35 percent of the salary and overtime pay as per civil service rules will be given.

The probation period for this position is three months. During this period, the Aviation Security Basic Course must be completed. Work must be completed according to the schedule set under the supervision of the Duty Supervisor, Shift In-charge or a senior staff member they appoint, in accordance with the regulations and work procedures.

Requirements for applicants:

  • Must be a Maldivian citizen aged between 18 and 35 years
  • Must be at least five feet tall
  • Must prove to be in full health capable of fulfilling Aviation Security Command responsibilities

Those selected for Aviation Security Command positions will be employed after passing an Aviation (Class 3) medical examination
