Chief Inspector of Police Mohamed Samih has been removed from his position as the head of the Police Homicide and Death Investigation Unit.

A police media official told "One" today that Samih has been removed from that position and transferred to another department. However, he did not specify which department Samih was transferred to.

Samih was removed from the position after Hawwa Yumnu Rasheed's (21) family called for his removal from the investigation of her case, where she was found with serious injuries at H. Fentenoe.

Samih had been leading the investigation into Yumnu's fall incident.

Samih is also the officer who has been leading investigations into other deaths.
