Ibrahim Rameez (Ibbe) has been elected as the Chairperson of Special Olympics Maldives (SO Maldives).

This is the second term of the association since Special Olympics started operating in 2019. In the first term, Ibbe worked as the Technical Director of the organization.

In that position, Ibbe has been involved in various activities. He has worked closely with athletes and has been active in the international arena to take athletes to the next level.

The Annual General Meeting of Special Olympics Maldives was held on Thursday night. 46 members of the association participated in the general meeting.

At the general meeting, the association's General Secretary Fathimath Fairooza Adam shared the annual report of the past year, achievements, and challenges faced with the general members.

Other positions of the association were also elected at the electoral meeting held on Thursday night. Fairooza was elected as Secretary. While Sofwan Shameem was elected as Treasurer, Abdullah Shah was elected as ID Expert.

Shadiya Hameed was elected as Family Representative, while Ibrahim Rabeeu was chosen as the special person to represent athletes. And the members to represent the general membership on the board are Aminath Siyana and Ahmed Afrah.
