The Parliament has approved Mohamed Anas of Dheyliyaage, GA. Dhevvadhoo, who was appointed as the President of the Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB).

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu sent his name to the Parliament on the 7th of this month, seeking parliamentary approval for his appointment.

After reviewing the matter, the State-Owned Enterprises (SOE) Committee of the Parliament passed to approve him and sent the report to the Parliament floor yesterday. This was after he scored over 80 points in an interview.

Anas was appointed to the position of PCB President following the dismissal of Hamdhee Ageel from that position on February 12.

Anas, who was appointed as the PCB Chairman, holds a Master of Business Administration from the Maldives National University. He has previously served as Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Finance, Audit Manager at Housing Development Corporation (HDC), and Associate Professor at Maldives Business School.
