A young man has died in an accident in L. Maandhoo.

Police said that an accident involving an out-of-control motorcycle was reported at around 1:40 AM last night from the L. Maandhoo Bend area (the curved part of the link road between Gam and Fonadhoo).

The police also said that Ibrahim Nauzam (30 years) of Soorajvilla, L. Maabaidhoo, who was injured in the accident, died at around 8:45 AM today while receiving treatment at Gan Regional Hospital.

According to the information received, Nauzam's motorcycle went out of control and crashed into one side of the road. It is also reported that he died due to severe head injuries.
