President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has stated that work is set to proceed on building eight schools in the Maldives with Indian assistance.

Speaking about the government's infrastructure development projects in the education sector on today's "Rayyithunaa Eku" podcast program, the President said that work on some schools is already underway under India's Line of Credit (LOC).

He also said that the project includes the construction of two additional schools in Hulhumale. He added that work on these two schools will begin this year.

The President said that a project worth USD 70 million is being carried out in the education sector under India's Line of Credit.

He also said that these works will solve a very big problem facing the education sector.
