President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has stated that caring for and loving children with autism is a national duty.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter) in connection with World Autism Day being observed today, the President emphasised that children with autism possess unique talents and skills that are essential to the country. He underscored the national duty to support and care for these children.

"Caring for and loving these children is a national duty," the President said.

World Autism Day is observed on April 2nd every year. This year's theme for Autism Day is "Advancing Neurodiversity and the UN Sustainable Development Goals".
