Looking at the increase in revenue, tax revenue increased by MVR 118 million, while non-tax revenue increased by MVR 282 million.

And compared to last year, the amount received as grants has also increased by MVR 15.2 million. According to the Ministry of Finance statistics, MVR 44 million has been received as grants by the 13th of this month.

Expenses have also decreased by MVR 1.3 billion compared to the same period last year. Recurrent expenses have been reduced from MVR 6.3 billion to MVR 6.1 billion. And capital expenses have been reduced from MVR 1.6 billion to MVR 429 million.

The parliament approved a budget of MVR 56.6 billion for this year. Of that, MVR 9.4 billion has been spent as of the 13th of this month.
