MVR 7.6 million received as Zakat in the first 20 days of Ramadan

Maldives Zakat House has reported that MVR 7.6 million has been received as Fitr Zakat during the first 20 days of this Ramadan.

According to statistics released by Zakat House, which operates under the Islamic Ministry, a total of MVR 7,632,214.03 has been received as Fitr Zakat through Zakat House counters and online during the first 20 days of this Ramadan.

This includes MVR 2,913,839.61 received in the first 10 days and MVR 4,718,372.42 received in the middle 10 days. The amount received in the middle 10 days is MVR 1.7 million more than the MVR 3 million received during the same period last year.

For the last 10 days, Zakat will be accepted until March 30, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM every day except Friday and Saturday.
