Police have arrested 10 foreigners on suspicion of attempting to smuggle 7 kilograms of drugs into the Maldives by sea.

Among those arrested for allegedly attempting to smuggle drugs into the Maldives on a ship are seven Indians and three Indonesians.

The suspects arrested are:

1. Ganesh Bonmali, 22 - India

2. Peter Vini, 28 - India

3. Prabhakarana Nagarajan, 35 - India

4. Adriansya, 25 - Indonesia

5. Muhammad Iqbal Makmur, 30 - Indonesia

6. Dathkile Darshan Vijay, 22 - India

7. Saran Padman, 26 - India

8. Naswan Adil, 30 - Indonesia

9. Romans Santhiya Fernando, 58 - India

10. Govsick Raj James Knox, 30 - India

The Criminal Court has ordered five days of detention for Ganesh Bonmali, Peter Vini, Prabhakarana Nagarajan, Adriansya, and Muhammad Iqbal Makmur, while the other five individuals were remanded for one day.

Police have not yet released any details regarding this case.
