President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has declared public holidays for Eid al-Fitr.

The decision was announced in a Directive published by the President’s Office on Friday.

As per the Directive, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs confirms that Eid falls on Monday, 31st March 2025, the holidays will be from 31st March to 3rd April. If Eid falls on Sunday, 30th March 2025, the holidays will be from 30th March to 3rd April.

This decision allows government employees to enjoy more time with their families. Offices will reopen on Sunday, 6th April 2025.
