So far, 48,000 households in the Male' area have received canned fish cases as part of the government's Ramadan gift.
In a post on X tonight, Local Government Minister Adam Shareef said that canned fish cases have been provided to 48,000 households in the Male' area so far, and the distribution of Ramadan gifts will continue at 13 centers tonight and tomorrow night.
"As many have received the Ramadan gift, from March 11, the Ramadan gift will be distributed from MIFCO shops. Distribution will continue during the opening hours of four MIFCO shops in Male' and Hulhumale'," Minister Shareef said.
Although the distribution centers will change from next Tuesday, the distribution of canned fish cases will continue through the online token system. Shareef also said that the work will continue until all those who need it receive it.
The government began distributing canned fish cases to households on February 20. On that day, the queue of people collecting the canned fish cases grew long, and a token number system was introduced to address this issue.
