It has been decided to submit a motion to the People's Majlis tomorrow to dismiss Mohamed Fazeen from his membership of the Maldives Broadcasting Commission (Broadcom).

The matter has been put on the agenda for tomorrow's session of the People's Majlis.

The agenda states that after reading the motion to dismiss Fazeen in the Majlis floor, it will be sent to the relevant standing committee.

The vote to dismiss Fazeen will be held on the Majlis floor after the committee sends its report to the floor and after a debate on the matter in the Majlis floor.

Mohamed Fazeen of B. Thulhaadhoo, Haezleen, who was working as a presenter at Raajje TV, was approved by the People's Majlis to be appointed as a member of Broadcom on March 2, 2021.

Following the Majlis approval, he was appointed to the commission's membership on March 7 by then-President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.

Fazeen was appointed as the Vice President of Broadcom on January 19, 2023, following the resignation of Ahmed Gais, who was then the Vice President.
