Housing Development Corporation (HDC) and Salaf Association have signed an agreement to provide iftar packs to Hulhumale' Hospital during Ramadan.
Under the agreement, HDC has provided Salaf Association with the necessary working space to prepare the iftar packs to be distributed during Ramadan.
HDC said that under this program, iftar packs will be provided daily during Ramadan to healthcare workers working at Hulhumale' Hospital and patients receiving treatment at the hospital.
"Having such a space arranged is a great convenience for our work. It's very difficult to rent a place at high cost for such voluntary work. However, we are very grateful that HDC has arranged this for us this year," said Mohamed Shujau, the coordinator of the program.
HDC said that this activity is aimed at encouraging people to help and care for each other during Ramadan, to promote the Islamic tradition of gift-giving, and to appreciate the tireless efforts of healthcare workers in treating patients.
