Ahmed Nasif of S. Hulhudhoo, Riverside, has been removed from his position as the Chairman of Housing Development Corporation Limited (HDC).
The Privatization and Corporatization Board said today that Nasif has been removed from the chairmanship of HDC and appointed as the Chairman of Waste Management Corporation Limited (WAMCO) today.
Nasif was appointed as the Chairman of HDC on November 6 last year.
In this government, Nasif was first appointed as the Chairman of Regional Airports Company Limited (RACL). He was appointed to that position in January last year.
Nasif has also served as the Managing Director of HDC during former President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom's administration.
During President Yameen's administration, Nasif also held the positions of Managing Director of Thilafushi Corporation and Managing Director of Greater Male' Industrial Zone, in addition to his role as Managing Director of HDC.
