The Maldives Meteorological Service (Met Office) has said that the weather will be bad for the Maldives today as well.

An official from the Met Office told "One" today that the weather will be bad for all areas of the Maldives today. He said the weather will be especially bad for the northern and central atolls.

The official said that wind speeds could reach up to 45 miles per hour in squalls. He also said there would be heavy rain and rough seas.

"We haven't forecasted any swell waves yet," the official said.

The official said that although the weather will be bad today, it will improve tomorrow. He said that while the central and southern atolls might experience some effects of the current weather, there won't be heavy rain.

For the past 24 hours, the weather has been very bad for a large part of the Maldives. Some islands, including Male', have experienced severe flooding and damages.
