All individuals who were taken to Hulhumale Hospital last night from the Immigration Detention Center in Hulhumale Phase 2 due to food poisoning have been released.
Maldives Immigration stated last night that 17 people detained at the Hulhumale Detention Center were receiving treatment at Hulhumale Hospital due to food poisoning.
An official from Hulhumale Hospital told "One" today that all of them have been treated and released.
Immigration said that they are investigating the incident of food poisoning among the detainees.
The Human Rights Commission of the Maldives (HRCM) posted on X last night stating that it is concerning that some foreign nationals at the Immigration Detention Center have been food poisoned, with some individuals' conditions deteriorating to the point of hospitalization.
HRCM said that the commission is closely monitoring and observing the situation.
Furthermore, HRCM called on relevant authorities to treat the food poisoning incident as a serious matter and to investigate how it occurred.
