\President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has met with the Speaker of the People's Majlis, Abdul Raheem Abdulla, and the Parliamentary Group Leader of PNC, MP Ibrahim Falah of Inguraidhoo constituency.

In a post on X today, Presidential Spokesperson Heena Waleed said that the President held this meeting with Abdul Raheem and Falah at some point today.

During the meeting, they discussed the bills that the government plans to submit to the People's Majlis during this newly started session, Heena said.

"This meeting is similar to the consultative meetings held at the beginning of each session last year as well," she said.

This meeting with Abdul Raheem comes at a time when some parties have been speculating about tensions between the President and Abdul Raheem following the dismissal of Abdul Raheem's son, Ibrahim Faisal, from the position of Tourism Minister.
