The President's Office has declared that the official government working hours throughout Ramadan and the first seven days of Shawwal will be from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

This practice has been in place since 1443 Hijra. The fourth directive issued by the President's Office on March 6, 2022, states that official government working hours throughout Ramadan and the first seven days of Shawwal will be from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

While government employees are required to work four hours during the month of Ramadan and the first seven days of Shawwal, President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has decided to close government offices for the last ten days of Ramadan, and this has been implemented starting from last year.
