Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has terminated Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Abdulla Faaidh and Chief Business Officer (CBO) Ahmed Yameen.
An HDC official confirmed the dismissal to One Online.
Both officials were suspended in December last year, along with several other HDC management members, following an investigation into the improper allocation of land. The case involved land being allotted to individuals who were not part of the official land ownership scheme conducted under former president Ibrahim Mohamed Solih’s administration.
On 19 December last year, Prosecutor General Abbas Shareef ordered the police and the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) to conduct a criminal investigation into the matter. However, no further details regarding the investigation have been disclosed yet.
