President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has announced plans to restore Rasfannu and Sultan Park.

Sultan Park was renovated and Rasfannu was developed during former President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom's administration. Sultan Park was then renamed Rasrani Bageecha.

In a post on X, President Dr Muizzu expressed concern over their current condition and assured the public that the government will work to restore and improve them.

The Malé City Council also noted that Sultan Park has not undergone repairs since its opening. They have assessed the park’s deteriorating structures and will announce a tender next week to begin repairs.

With both the government and city council committed to revitalising these parks, residents can expect improved recreational spaces in the capital.
