The Ministry of Education has announced that students wishing to transfer to a school in another village before the next academic year can now apply.

Students must submit the application form for transfer from the school where the student is studying to a school in another island, which is available on the ministry's website. The deadline for submission is March 6.

As per the academic calendar, the new academic year will commence on April 6, following the last ten days of Ramadan and the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays. The ministry has stated that all arrangements for student placements will be finalised before the 15th of Ramadan. Since this period involves the preparation of student tests and report forms, no further transfers will be processed for the remainder of the academic year.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to complete the application process promptly to ensure a smooth transition for their children.
