A 15-year-old boy and three others have been arrested in connection with the violent assault of a man in Hithadhoo, Addu City.

According to police, officers were patrolling the a stadium area around 0135hrs when they noticed a group of people attempting to flee. Upon investigation, they discovered a man tied up and severely beaten.

A 37-year-old man was initially rescued from the scene. Later, police also detained a 15-year-old boy, two 20-year-olds, a 21-year-old, and a 22-year-old in connection with the incident.

Authorities have confirmed that the case is under investigation.
