Allied Insurance has signed on as the official marine insurance partner for the ongoing Maldives Marine Expo at Hulhumalé Central Park. However, this year, the company has taken a unique approach, focusing on ocean conservation and plastic waste reduction.
A key attraction at the expo is a giant fish sculpture displayed by Allied. Unlike previous years, this striking installation carries an important environmental message. Built under the theme "Reducing Plastic Waste, Promoting Ocean Conservation," the sculpture is made entirely from plastic and other reclaimed materials collected during the Dive 40 clean-up event at K. Himmafushi, which marked Allied’s 40th anniversary.
In addition to the sculpture, Allied is organising interactive activities to promote recycling, one of the key environmental challenges. These sessions will take place in front of the reclaimed well from 4 PM to 6 PM today and tomorrow, encouraging visitors to engage in sustainable practices.
