One Online has opened applications for the Children's Quran Recitation Competition 1446, dedicated to the fasting month.

The competition aims to instill a love for the Holy Quran in children, encourage proper recitation according to Tajweed rules, and promote the teachings of the Quran in society.

The competition is divided into three age groups:

  • Under-6: Recitation from Surat-ul-Balad to Surat-un-Nas (memorized)
  • Under-8: Recitation from Surat-ul-A‘la to Surat-un-Nas (reading-based)
  • Under-12: Recitation from Surah Al-Inshiqaq to Surat-un-Nas (reading-based)

Participants will recite a surah assigned to their respective age group. The top three in each category will be selected, and all participants will receive a certificate. Videos of the recitations will also be shared on One Media Group’s social media platforms.

Judging will be based on the length of the surah recited and adherence to Tajweed rules.

Parents or guardians who wish to register their children must submit the child's name, address, contact number, a clear copy of the child’s ID card, and the preferred age category. This information can be sent via Viber or WhatsApp to 7529933, where further details about the competition are also available.

The deadline for participation is 20th February 2024.
