Dhiraagu has signed on as the exclusive digital partner for the 'Across Maldives' dive event, organised by Ocean Six Fifty, aiming to set two world records.

Renowned Maldivian diver Shafraz Naseem, who holds the Asian record for the longest scuba dive (50 hours in 2022), will embark on an ambitious journey—swimming from the northernmost atoll to the southernmost corner of the country.

The event will take place in two phases:

  • A 14-kilometre swim from Hulhumale’ to Male’
  • A 460-kilometre swim from Haa Alifu Atoll to Addu City

The goal of 'Across Maldives' is to showcase the beauty of the Maldivian oceans, raise global awareness about environmental threats, and gather crucial data on climate change impacts.

Dhiraagu’s Director of Brand and Marketing Communications, Mohamed Mirshan Hassan, highlighted the company’s commitment to environmental conservation through its ‘Care for the Oceans’ initiative.

"We are thrilled to be the digital partner for this important event. Through this initiative, we hope to raise awareness about climate change and encourage future generations to protect our oceans," Mirshan stated.

Dhiraagu has consistently supported environmental conservation efforts in the Maldives and continues to contribute through technology and awareness campaigns.
