Mohamed Rishwan appointed as MPL MD and Board Director

Mohamed Rishwan has been appointed as the new Managing Director and Board Director of Maldives Ports Limited (MPL). The announcement was made by the Privatisation and Corporatisation Board (PCB) in a post on X.

Rishwan has previously served as Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) during President Mohamed Nasheed’s administration. He also held the position of Deputy Chief Operating Officer at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) during President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom’s administration.

The position of Managing Director at MPL became vacant after the removal of Mohamed Wajih Ibrahim on February 2.
