A 23-year-old man has been arrested for failing to pay bills after dining at cafes and seeking services.
The suspect, Yaseen Rashid from ADh Maamigili, was taken into custody after he ate at a cafe and was reported for not settling the bill.
He was presented before a local court yesterday, where he was remanded in police custody for 10 days. In his defence, Yaseen claimed that he had called his brother to make the payment, but his brother's phone was switched off at the time. He also stated that the payment had been sent later.
According to the court order, Yaseen's family informed the police that he had a habit of receiving services from cafes and then paying his bills afterward. The court also noted that Yaseen does not have a prior criminal record.
