Authorities have launched an investigation into an attack on the regional general manager of a resort in Lamu Atoll.

According to the police, a case was registered after a man riding a bicycle at a resort was struck on the head from behind. However, they have not disclosed the name of the resort or the identity of the attacker. No arrests have been made so far.

Sources indicate that the victim was Marteyne Van Well, the regional General Manager of Six Senses Lamu Kanuhura. He received medical treatment following the incident and has now been discharged.

The investigation is ongoing as police work to identify the suspect and determine the motive behind the attack.
