The Civil Court has settled a debt of MVR 600,000 owed by Public Service Media (PSM) to Good Works Maldives Private Limited by withdrawing the amount from PSM’s bank accounts.

The debt was related to a January 31, 2022, agreement in which Good Works provided security services for PSM’s TV and radio building. When PSM failed to pay, Good Works filed a lawsuit on June 15, 2023. On November 19, 2023, the court ruled that PSM must pay the amount within 14 days, but the organisation did not comply.

Good Works then requested the court to enforce the ruling. As a result, MVR 600,000 was withdrawn from PSM’s Bank of Maldives (BML) accounts and transferred to Good Works. The funds were received on May 15 after completing the necessary legal formalities.

With this, the Civil Court has confirmed that the case is now resolved.
