Foreign Minister, Dr Abdulla Khaleel, has departed for an official visit to Saudi Arabia from 29 to 31 January 2025 at the invitation of Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud.

During the visit, Dr Khaleel will hold discussions with Prince Faisal to strengthen Maldives-Saudi ties and explore new areas of cooperation. He will also meet with Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Commerce to boost trade and investment opportunities between the two nations.

This visit highlights the Maldives’ commitment to deepening relations with Saudi Arabia, focusing on key areas of collaboration.

Dr Khaleel is accompanied by Dr Hala Hameed, Secretary (Bilateral), and Ms Khadeeja Najeeha, Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
