President Dr Mohamed Muizzu emphasised his commitment to careful national planning, stating that his Administration will only undertake projects after ensuring their long-term benefits. He made this statement during a visit to Muraidhoo as part of his tour of the atoll.
The President assured that both short- and long-term development plans would be shared with the public. He highlighted his citizen-focused approach, aiming to address public needs and accelerate stalled projects. He expressed confidence in successfully completing both ongoing and planned initiatives.
For Muraidhoo, the President identified harbour expansion as the island's top priority, with the project set to be completed this year alongside the start of road construction. He also pledged to enhance health, sports, and education services, ensuring equal access for all.
Earlier, the President attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the island's Police Station and Council Secretariat. Additionally, the Bank of Maldives and the Muraidhoo Island Council signed an agreement to install an ATM on the island.
