President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has appointed Mohamed Zahid and Abdul Rahman Salah Rasheed as members of the Elections Commission of Maldives.

The appointments were made under Article 167(a) of the Constitution, in accordance with Article 168(b) and Section 4(a) of the Elections Commission Act (Act No. 8/2008).

At a ceremony held at the President's Office, Supreme Court Justice Honourable Uz Mahaz Ali Zahir administered the oath of office to the new members. Following the oath-taking, President Muizzu presented their official letters of appointment.
