President Dr Mohamed Muizzu marked the International Day of Education with a message highlighting the vital role of education in empowering individuals and shaping the future.

Referring to this year’s theme, “AI and Education: Preserving Human Agency in a World of Automation”, the President stressed the importance of integrating technology into education while maintaining human values.

He outlined the Maldives’ plans to embrace modern technology in education, including e-learning, artificial intelligence, and virtual reality. Initiatives such as digitising textbooks, adopting hybrid learning models, and enhancing STEAM education were highlighted as key to preparing future generations.

President Dr Muizzu expressed gratitude to educators for their dedication to nurturing young minds and reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to providing quality education that fosters creativity, values, and skills for a changing world.

The President also shared a similar message on his official 'X' account to mark the occasion.
